This afternoon I did my first talk at FUDcon 2016 titled “Building GNOME with JHBUILD” where I introduced people to the GNOME project, I started with a general view of what GNOME is, and some history-related.
I have presented JHBUILD, and then some GNOME applications to starting students of UNA into the GNOME world, I presented the community and why I am feeling so engaged after more than five years of being part of the community. I also explained why I have gotten involved with FEDORA and not with other distros (which is also fine too). I was so excited about the response of the audience, they expressed energy to starting by installation of FEDORA and more than that! They are going to try to fix bugs building first GNOME with JHBUILD. I also had the chance to promote the Outreachy program and as it is usual, I applied my method by pricing people during my presentation withe FEDORA stickers, t-shirt and pins!
Thanks to Tonet and Aly from FEDORA PERU to make the FUDCon possible
I am grateful to the FEDORA project for sponsoring my travel! 🙂
