Planning the GNOME PERU FEST 2014 :: Let’s use Linux

We (Giohanny, Mario, Fabian,  and me) are planning to do an event at the end of March: The GNOME PERU FEST 2014. Students from many Lima’s universities are going to start classes those days and it will be a good opportunity to get a great audience.

groupI proposed this idea in IBM because the event is going to be held in its campus and they offered me support for it. The purpose of this event is to present GNOME and Fedora projects. It is going to be divided in two parts:

  • Install  both projects in laptops participants (any person that wants to use Linux)
  • Share the way to contribute with both projects.

Mario is in charge of the installation part, and some IBM Linux specialists are going  to help. Aruna is going to participate remotely with her OPW GNOME testimony and Fabian with his testimony about how he got in touch with the Pitivi developers since last year.

* Luis Bazan and Echevemaster are tentative options for Fedora.

This is the design of the logo of our event:
