FUDCon 2013

“Finally I have a day off after the event that made possible one of the greatest FUDCon ever”… this phrase was written the first day of November 2013, can anyone imagine how busy I was after this event?… no, you didn’t! (job, job, job, a conference and two certifications! 🙂

I though that it was one of the best FUDCon ever, even if I have not attended any FUDCon before, because I could feel the sensation of many of Assambadors and I must say!… the quorum we got!.. Thanks to the organizers, with Alex Oviedo and Cesar Villacorta in head, almost 2000 students were registered in the Centro de Convenciones del Cuzco, Perú.

And I also must say, “that day” the city suffer a collective withdrawal of tranport, so we would have more students and… okay, I will not imagine more about what would have happened.  This is the picture of the first day (Thanks Jared for this picture :D)

JSmithI clearly remember why many of the ambassadors are not in the picture, we were trying to count the votes for the BarCamp… lots of work! ñ.ñ

P1060638Well, we spent many days together and many memories comes to my mind now, I  specially remember the stronger moments (that includes crying): sang “Himno Nacional del Perú”, the moment Jared sayed during his speech that he considered us as his family, the sleepiness face of  Cesar Villacorta, the speech of the Principal of the university in our big lunch; and of course the funniest stories about Dennis Glimore and his look of Thor, the jokes of new friends like Shenny and Abbad, the football game in Piquillacta, the stone of the remains in Piquicllacta also, the contrast and complement of Neville Cross, Luis Bazán y Alejandro Perez,  The swing of Juan Barba, Yohan Gaterol, Echevemaster, Abdel and Kiara. The stories of Argentina people with Matias and Valentin, Brazil also present with Wolnei and Leo and Itamar!!! It is incredible also that you have friends and suddenly you decide to spend time and days with them in a trip, you know them better and actually I consider them as the bothers I do not have: thanks Jonas and Mario Lamas for this adventure 🙂 and it was a pleasure also to know a great example of hardworking: Bernardo Hermitaño Atencio.

fotoembajadoresAs I always say, a picture is worth a thousand words you can see the pictures of our trip to the FUDCon from Lima, experiences of the event, the Jared birthday dinner and so much fun!

P1060853Thank you so much Fedora, we have a great community in Perú now! 🙂
