Testing Documents in Fedora 17 alpha

I did installed Fedora 17 alpha in my VBox with Felipe Solari’s help. We did have troubles with the installation in the disk.

I did it to test my ‘Documents help’ and I was trying to identify differences between the ‘file browser’ and ‘Documents’ app.

I got first the printing option, you can not find it in the ‘file browser’…

You can open it with many applications, you can compress it, copy, make a link… and… I did click on ‘Send To…’ and the magic comes out, you can send by mail your document…

So, after creating my first document with HTML extension, I opened ‘Documents’… and guess what… I did not find my recently document created. I closed the application, I did click on the Check button, I clicked the ‘Done’ button,  it repeat the process many times… but still I did not see any document

So, I decided to create 21 documents with different formats to see which one can be seen… I did my format list to explain the user the supported formats in Documents, but unfortunately I still have problems in viewing my Documents…

I think I have to wait to the official version of Fedora 17 to check my writing for ‘Document help’.

you need to wait for tracker to profile the documents you created.

      I got this advice:

Make sure Tracker is running in your session; the default configuration
should be set to index files in your home directory (non-recursively)
and XDG folders (recursively), ensure that the files your create for the
demo are in one of these paths.
