** Experiences with Fedora 15 beta **
I got the CD live from the gnome.org page, but I must to confess that I did not need to use it
http://www.gnome.org/getting-gnome/ Fedora 15 beta included gnome3 on it!! 🙂
so… how do I get to this screen?. Easy, just click on Activities at first time…
At first time you got this screen, with Windows enable by default, this windows will show us the current windows we are working on, also this option has the favorite applications icons. Next to the Windows bottom, we find the Applications bottom, in which we are going to see all the icons of application the Pc has.
While I was exploring this new interface, a message of low battery appears in my lap; and I think it is great how it appears…it pops up from below!… when you are chatting with empathy or the alarm of low battery is near… like this:
You can notice that the minimize/maximize/restore bottoms does not able in the windows… I don’t now your feelings, but managing this stuff was easy for me… let see one case: I want to search my documents and not close my explorer Firefox with all the current pages… besides the Alt–Tab key combination to switch between windows has been present in almost all desktop environments is available; you can click on Activities (the first left bottom in corner of the screen in white label) and see all the windows you are working on, and select what you want in one click
To restore a screen, just make a double click; but I dont think it could be necessary because you are going to work with a maximize screen…
**** working with 2 screen at the same time (to be continued… 🙂
